Aquarium of the Bay

Of course I was ready to take aquarium photos and I was met with a challenge. Flat glass is rather easy to take photos through, but many of the tanks here were rounded! LOL I still got a couple that I really liked.

Life's a Beach

Red Light, Green Light

Luckily we didn't have to wait the whole 5 minutes on either side.

This was actually Matt's idea to take it when it turned green lol. I had to clear that tree first to get a good shot, so it was taken while driving albeit slowly.

Thanks K :)

I received an email from a friend whose husband was looking for photos of someone taking a bite out of a strawberry to accompany a newspaper article. I was a little nervous about doing this, but once I put my mind to it, I was quite proud of what I got to fit the guidelines we'd discussed :)
This one was my favorite because of the slight tilt

I think it just says "innocence, summertime, warmth" :)

If put in the article, Zach's little nose, mouth and chin will be famous lol :)

This is the other one I submitted:

These are two that I took, but did not submit because they were a tad similar to the first. In retrospect I should have submitted them all, but that's ok.

Flights of Fancy

This was the last photo of the day and one of my favorites. I took it in color, but did an infrared film conversion.

A Little Eye Candy

From Above, So Below

I wonder what he was looking at and if he knew I was watching him. He sort of mirrored some thoughts I've been having lately.

Walking Among Trees

I'm seeing a project green in the works lol. I liked this green on green going on - I do realize that this is a little...um...freudian shall we say.

I guess this one could be seen that way too, but truly I just love that this poor tree is doing the limbo

I liked the simple lines of this tree trunk, it almost represents a bone structure. Ok, this post is completely phallic. *sigh* lol

Flowers

I took this first one about a week ago.

I took these 2 on a walk today.

Night Light

I didn't get this quite right, but I saw something similar and wanted to try it. I think I will try a different light next time so that I don't have to be standing in the middle of the street for the shot LOL

Just love the blue of this sky

Winging It

I don't much care for the center comp, but I still like it.

I think Poppa is mooning me...not something he was opposed to doing when he was alive in human form *sigh* LOL

A Little Surprise

We took a walk today at nearly sunset and since I never know what I'll find, I often bring the camera with me. I ALMOST didn't today, but I'm so glad I did. This little one surprised me by flitting past me and then landing on the wall - and staying there for about 2 full minutes.

Then a dragonfly landed on a tree nearby and even though he sort of blended into the tree, I still like the overall shot. :)

Like Mother, Like Son

Just a shot of my budding assistant :) I was so proud - he didn't take flower shots straight down, he got down to eye level like I do - it was just such a cute moment. I asked if he wanted to learn about composition and photographer 'things' and he said yes.

Zach's old dream: Astronaut.

Zach's new dream: Astronaut who takes pictures from the moon.

Here are a few of his photos from today that I thought were cute. I think I may give him our old 4MP since he's using Grammie's old 2MP.
